These are a few of the doodles that I’ve done over the past few weeks, which all happen to be of men. The first one was originally going to be of my friend, Tony, but I quickly gave up on the idea because he was having a conversation with people and I couldn’t really get a good look at him.
This second doodle, which I did on the plane ride home from Argentina, is of Jim. I think it’s funny because it looks like Jim, but a sort of alternate universe Jim where he has a longer head. This last one I did during a meeting at work. Perhaps some of my co-workers will recognize it 🙂
During our travels to Buenos Aires and Patagonia, I made several doodles to pass the time. Although this one looks simple, it probably took me about two hours to make it. Jim says it looks like a maze of glaciers. After finishing it, I realized he was right, which is weird because I started it before I’d ever even seen a glacier.
On Sunday night, I went to a movie watching party, and the hosts had a picture of a cat, um, in a hamburger (see below). Super ridiculous! When I got home after the party, I was pretty tired so I just did my own sketch of the hamburger cat.
On the way home from work on Friday, I made a doodle of a sailor that I saw on the train. On the way to work earlier that day, I finished a doodle of the Sears Tower, which is, of course, now called the Willis Tower.
Last Sunday, I decided to make a sort of stream-of-consciousness doodle, meaning that I just sat down and doodled without really thinking about what I was making. I was just trying to fill the page. This is what I came up with. Kinda weird. Kinda cool.
My co-worker Joe kept requesting a post somehow related to the Olympics, so last Monday I made this picture of a swimmer. I guess I also drew it because I’ve been doing some swimming myself lately and have been having tons of fun. I even have a bathing cap and goggles for swimming laps. I’m such a dork!
