Day 321: Hello Man
On Friday night, I made this funny doodle. He’s pretty similar to this guy, but a little happier, I guess.
Day 307: A Few Doodles
On the way home from work on Friday, I made a doodle of a sailor that I saw on the train. On the way to work earlier that day, I finished a doodle of the Sears Tower, which is, of course, now called the Willis Tower.
Day 114: Woman
Tonight I did a pen drawing of a woman in the same style as the man I drew the other day. I am kinda digging the style because I’m really enjoying creating these sorts of creepy characters. Maybe I’ll do a few more in the upcoming weeks.
Day 112: Man
I must say, I really like this drawing. Perhaps it’s because the man is so creepy.
Day 76: Old Crow
Another quick sketch. This one is honor of the whiskey, obviously.
Day 68: Squares
Did some pointillist squares in pen tonight. It was pretty easy, which was good because I made a rather fancy dinner of braised short ribs and my first-ever mashed homemade mashed potatoes. The meal turned out pretty good.
Day 65: La Boca
Tonight, I did a bit of a timed trial to create this picture of the famous La Boca neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I gave myself 10 minutes to draw the picture and 15 minutes to paint it. It came out okay and it was definitely good practice!
Related to Argentina, I am currently in the process of planning a trip to Buenos Aires and Patagonia for next February. I can’t wait to go!
Day 47: Eyeball
I’m scheduled to have Lasik tomorrow so I drew an eyeball that also sort of looks like an octopus or maybe even a flower. Anyways, wish me luck on my surgery!
Day 41: Dog
I’ve been crazy busy tonight running errands and getting ready for the Vintage Bazaar tomorrow so I’m just posting a doodle I made during a meeting at work today. It was inspired by a smudge on the table that was shaped pretty much exactly like the front part of the dog. Kinda funny.
p.s. Jim thinks he looks like Boo. There’s a slight resemblance, I suppose.
